Terms and conditions
Please read these carefully
The Wim Hof Method breathing exercise has a profound effect and should be practised in the way it is explained.
Safe environment
Always do the breathing exercise in a safe environment (e.g. sitting on a couch/floor) and unforced. Never practise the exercises before or during diving, driving, swimming, taking a bath or in any other environment/place where, should you pass out, a serious injury could occur. Wim Hof breathing may cause tingling sensations and/or lightheadedness. If you’ve fainted, it means that you went too far. Take a step back next time.
Gradual exposure
The cold is a powerful force. We strongly advise to gradually build up exposing yourself to the cold. Always train without force and listen to your body carefully. If it is not practised responsibly, there is a risk of hypothermia.
Exclusions
Do not practise the method during pregnancy or if you're epileptic. Persons with cardiovascular health issues, or any other (serious) health conditions, should always consult a medical doctor before starting the Wim Hof Method.
Assess health risks
As Níall Ó Murchú Consulting Limited, we see to it that the Wim Hof Method activities are carried out safely and correctly. However, we cannot assess the health risks particular to individual participants. Participants are notified about the health risks in advance via a written statement (above and in an announcement within the Facebook group). We point to their personal responsibility, and advise to consult their personal physician should the medical questionnaire prompt any potential issues. It is ultimately up to the participant to determine whether they are fit to take part.
Your own risk
By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you are declaring that you have been adequately informed about the particulars of the Wim Hof Method activity beforehand, and that you are in good physical and mental condition. You shall not hold Níall Ó Murchú Consulting Limited liable for any damages and/or injury resulting from participation in the Facebook group. Your participation is entirely at your own risk.
